The 'New Value of Travel' Born from Local Connections
Our company started with a bar-hopping tour in the alleyways of Shinjuku. From our very first participant, an American customer, we received the following words: “The most memorable experience of our Japan trip was meeting and interacting with the guide who accompanied us on MagicalTrip’s bar-hopping tour.” (Meeting and connecting with the guide on MagicalTrip’s bar-hopping tour was the most moving and unforgettable memory of the trip.) Even now, as we provide over 60 types of tours together with hundreds of local guides across Japan, those words remain our foundation. Travel is not just about taking photos with beautiful scenery or eating delicious food. We believe the true essence of travel lies in directly interacting with the people who live in each place, getting to know them, and experiencing their culture firsthand. For the locals who welcome travelers, these encounters and connections also become deeply moving and memorable experiences. We believe that this very experience is the 'new value of travel' that MagicalTrip aims to create. Together with local guides and residents, our mission and pride is to build 'local experiences' that allow travelers to truly feel the connection with a place and its people. Through travel, we will continue striving to deliver this wonderful 'local experience' to more travelers and local guides all around the world. Having operated our own guided tours, we have experienced firsthand the complexity and heavy workload involved. We realized that these operational challenges are the very barriers preventing suppliers worldwide from scaling. With new ideas and our strength in development, we are taking on the challenge of overcoming them.
Toward Even Greater Challenges
Since its founding, MagicalTrip has consistently embraced the ambitious goal of 'global expansion.' In 2025, we took our first step by expanding into Thailand, and our challenge has entered a new stage. Of course, many challenges still lie ahead of us. But those challenges are exactly what drive us forward, and we are excited to take on unprecedented challenges in the industry. Going beyond the boundaries of a traditional travel company, we will use the power of technology to tackle unresolved issues in the industry. And as a pioneer shaping the 'future of travel,' we will continue delivering the 'new value of travel' to people all around the world.
